Accessibility statement

This accessibility report concerns the UKK Institute website www.ukkinstituutti.fi and has been created on October 30, 2020.

The accessibility of the digital service has been assessed by our personnel.

Accessibility status 

According to the assessment of the UKK Institute, https://ukkinstituutti.fi/en/ fulfills the critical accessibility requirements of the Finnish Act on the Provision of Digital Services. The website is currently compatible with WCAG version 2.1, levels A and AA. 

The legislation does not cover  

  • files of office programs (e.g. doc, pdf) that have been published before September 23, 2018  
  • video and voice recordings published before September 23, 2020.  

The UKK Institute website does not fulfill WCAG version 2.1, level AAA criteria. This includes e.g. sign language interpretation and prolonged descriptive interpretation. In addition, recordings and YouTube videos published before the Act on the Provision of Digital Services came to effect are not subtitled. The Act does not require retrospective subtitling of videos.

Our aim is to reach an accessibility level as high as possible. The UKK Institute employees are obliged to pay attention to accessibility in all areas of content creating.

Inaccessible content  

Files and attachments published after September 23, 2018 are being modified to meet the accessibility criteria as they are updated.

In these cases, it is possible to request for accessible versions of the documents. Inquiries about the accessible files can be sent to us by e-mail aineisto(a)ukkinstituutti.fi.
